Nataliya Gulyayeva, MD, PhD is board certified in psychiatry and psychosomatic medicine. Additionally, Dr. Gulyayeva is fellowship trained in psychosomatic medicine and psycho-oncology, and holds advanced certification in psychodynamic psychotherapy. She has over three decades of expertise in medicine, including general psychiatry and psychiatry of the medically ill. As a psychosomatic medicine psychiatrist she focuses on psychological and psychiatric problems of patients with medical, neurological, surgical illness and cancer; and is able to treat a wide variety of psychiatric conditions and disorders. Dr. Gulyayeva specializes in adjustment disorder, anxiety, bipolar disorder, delirium in critically ill patients, delirium tremens, depression, dysthymia, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, postpartum depression, somatization disorder and psychiatric aspects of cancer and other medical illnesses.

She joined the medical team at the Center for Behavioral Health in July 2013, previously coming from from the prestigious Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center/New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City, NY where she completed her clinical fellowship training. Dr. Gulyayeva has conducted an extensive clinical research and published multiple papers on psychiatric care of the medically ill and other topics. She is a recipient of the Nathaniel Wharton Fund Award for the best paper by a trainee in psychosomatic medicine. Dr. Gulyayeva is a member of many medical societies including The American Psychiatric Association, The Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine and the American Medical Association.
